We’ve added a new featured student this week. @tffcapote. Tiff is one of our more active members and she’s always finding some amazing things to share, and usually picking all our brains to learn even more! If you know of a student you’d like us to recognize, send us some information and background on them so we can share with everybody!

We’re really excited about our new addition ”Featured Student” Let me introduce you to our first featured student Mina! minamouse0823. Mina is a junior at Hamilton Township High School in Ohio. One of our featured videos shows Mina in the lead role of ”Maria” in West Side Story. Mina won the role as a freshman! She was in the chorus in Footloose, chorus with a small ensemble part in Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, and played Ronette (but sang Crystal’s part) in the trio in Little Shop of Horrors She’s also in the Symphonic Choir and Chamber Choir (Chamber is the smaller ensemble choir), National Honor Society, and Color Guard. She also just auditioned for American Idol! She’s a very busy girl and we see great things in her future!

Welcome new members. As you can see we are brand new, and many features are being finished up this week. Please register today, invite your theatre friends to join you, and come back soon. This will be so cool when we have hundreds of members all over the US. But somebody has to get it started. The Texas UIL One Act Play State Finals are May 9-11 in Austin, Tx. 40 different schools will be competing this year and they’ve all done a fantastic job!

The contestants are tasked with elaborate feature challenges including executing full body paint make up on models and creating their own horror villain. Not only will the show incorporate effects make-up, it will include a wide range of skill sets including prosthetics, 3-D design, sculpting, eye enhancers, casting and molding.
